Toxicity and Antioxidant Tests of Morinda citrifolia (noni) Seed Extract.

Nitrates, nitrites, phytic acid, oxalic acid, as well as aflatoxin B1, B2, G1 and G2 were not detected in a noni seed extract. The extract was non-cytotoxic, did not produce symptoms of toxicity in a subacute oral toxicity, and did not display any genotoxic potential. It did exhibit significant antioxidant activity in vitro.
