Noni seed oil did not cause any skin reactions in a repeat insult patch test with 49 adult volunteers. Noni seed oil was non-comedogenic in a four-week clinical trial involving 23 adolescent volunteers.  The oil also exhibited in-vitro anti-inflammatory activity in COX-2 and 5-LOX enzyme inhibition assays.
