Identification of major aroma compounds in the leaf of Morinda citrifolia Linn.

Aroma compounds in fresh, frozen and dried noni leaves were determined by GC-MS. Palmitic acid and
E-phytol were identified as the major components of the volatile oil obtained from the leaves. Except for E-phytol, all the known volatile compounds identified in the leaf samples were done so for the first time. (view original abstract at https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18633692).
