Lipid transfer protein isolated from noni seeds displays antibacterial activity in vitro and improves survival in lethal sepsis induced by CLP in mice.
Souza AA, Costa AS, Campos DCO, et al.
A lipid transfer protein isolated from noni seeds had antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis in vitro. The lipid transfer protein also increased sepsis survival rate of mice and reduced weight loss, fever, leukocytosis, organ damage, and inflammatory serum cytokine concentration.
