Ingestion of noni leaf extract improved neurological score, brain infarction, and brain oxidative
stress status in the cortex following cerebral ischemia in ovariectomized female rats. Additional biochemical measurements suggest that this neuroprotective effect involves reduction of oxidative stress in the cortex. Serum calcium, osteocalcin, and alkaline phosphatase and osteoblast density in the tibia were also increased, indicating anti-osteoporosis potential.
