Noni extracts significantly inhibited AGE-induced reactive oxygen species generation, AGE receptor (RAGE), and intercellular adhesion molecule-1 and plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 gene expressions in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs). This study demonstrated that the noni extract suppresses AGE-induced inflammatory reactions through antioxidant action that involves the blocking of RAGE binding.
